At Salon Salon Limousine Service we can help you find the right limousine or limo party bus for your event. Whether you are planning a wedding, prom or headed to the big game, it is important that you get the best vehicle and service for your money. There are many factors to consider when booking limo service. We hope this limo rental tips guide helps you get the most from your luxury transportation experience.

Know before you go

Getting the right limo often depends on the type of occasion, number of people, number of hours you’ll need and how far you’re going. Most companies will need to know if this is for a wedding, concert, prom, birthday party or maybe an anniversary – and they often specialize in certain events to deliver the best possible experience. The more details you can provide, the better the value and service you’ll receive.

Focus on value: the best limo service at the best price

Not all limousine services are equal. Price should not be the only factor in your search. Much like renting a hotel, different price points often mean different service levels. It’s good to have a budget determined ahead of time, but also know what type of experience you want.

Get the right ride

Often times, the right vehicle can make all the difference. A stretch Escalade for your next bachelor party or a classic antique Rolls Royce for riding off in style from the wedding. Ensure that the vehicle your getting has the space, features and look for your next event. Try to book a vehicle that has room for at least one to two more people than are in your party. Some companies provide music (radio or satellite radio), so ask in advance or be prepared to take your iPod or a mix CD with enough music to last the whole ride. Also ask about features like the seating arrangement and luggage capacity for large group vehicles.

Get the whole price

Always make sure you are checking limousine and party bus prices that you compare apples-to-apples between services. Each limousine company will generally have their own unique pricing policies. Most companies offer services priced by the hour – but may also offer flat/guaranteed rates for airport rides or sometimes all-inclusive packages. Pay attention to “add on’s” like fuel surcharges or other services fees not included in the base price. FYI, it is customary to tip drivers 20% of the base price. Most companies automatically charge a driver gratuity, while some leave it the customer to decide. Be sure you get the full price up front when weighing your options.

Limousine and Party Bus Rental Packages

A package is often the best choice for special occasions like weddings, concerts, prom, sporting events or other ride types with a predictable start and end time. Packages will generally provide a set number of hours, in a vehicle that fits your party size and event for a fixed, all-inclusive price. Some companies offer packages for every type of service and most give substantial “bulk rate” price breaks.

Reserve your limousine or Party Bus early – especially for special events

Start searching well before you need your limo. For wedding limos, some people book 12-18 months in advance. Other events, like proms, are best to book a limo a few months in advance. In general, it is best to start looking 3-4 weeks before your event. After you’ve selected the right limo service provider, get confirmation in writing. For special occasions, it’s generally a good idea to contact your limo service provider a week before the event, just to ensure everything is confirmed.

Safety first

The most important thing to consider when booking a limo is safety for yourself and your party. Legitimate limo companies need to be registered with their state (US only), have the proper levels of insurance and be properly licensed. Never book a limo with a company that can’t promptly show you their licensing and insurance credentials – don’t take chances.

Plan ahead

Think about all the details of your ride experience. Do you need ice or drinks? Do you have a preferred route for your ride? What stops would you like to make? Providing these details to your chosen limo service provider will help them meet your needs – and do this for the right price.

DEPOSITS:
In order to reserve your limousine service, we require a deposit at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, Checks, Money Orders or Cash.
HOW TO PAY YOUR BALANCE:
The final payment of your balance must be paid by the service date. The following are the only forms of payment accepted.
  • Weddings: Personal checks must be received in our office no later than 14 days before the wedding date. If paying your balance on your Wedding Day.  We can accept Cash. Your balance must be given to the chauffeur at the first pick up location.
  • Proms: Personal check 14 days before the day of the prom. Cash on the day of service. All balance’s must be paid at the first pick up location.
  • All other Services: Personal check 14 days before the service. Cash on the day of service. If paying your balance by credit card please let us know 48 hours before hand.
  • A 5% STC convenience fee will be added to your balance if you choose to pay with a credit card.
All overtime is to be paid directly to the chauffeur in CASH ONLY on the day of service before the limousine goes into overtime status. Overtime is charged in half-hour (1/2 hr.) increments for Weddings and 1-hour increments for all other services. You can find the overtime rate pertaining to the vehicle you reserved on the front of your contract.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
In the event that you need to cancel your reservation, you will need to call our office to let us know of the cancellation as well as mail or email a cancellation letter to our office. Only the person that made the reservation can cancel it. Cancellation letters can be mailed to our office at 1134 American Legion, Westport, MA 02790  or you emailed to salonlimo@gmail.com by the time frame listed below:
  • Weddings – no later than 60 Days before service date.
  • Proms – no later than 45 Days before service date.
  • All other services – no later than 14 days before service day.
Once your cancellation notice is received, we will contact you to confirm receipt of your cancellation letter. As long as the cancellation occurs within the time frame above there will be no further penalty to you except for the forfeiture of the initial deposit and any additional payments that were made.
In the event that cancellation of your service occurs after the time specified above for the type of service you have reserved, you will be responsible for the remaining balance due. The balance will be automatically charged to the credit card that was given at the time of placing the reservation. Please note that deposits and payments previously made are non-refundable and non-transferable.
CHANGES TO YOUR RESERVATION:
The client hereby verifies that the pick-up date, times, locations, vehicles requested and billing information are correctly stated. You agree that you will not downgrade and/or delete the original vehicles you reserved and/or will not shorten the original length of service you requested at the time of booking. Changes to itinerary can only be done by the individual that made the online reservation. Client modifications are strictly limited to pickup time(s), locations, destination(s), addition and/or upgrade of vehicle(s) and overtime. All contract changes must be finalized 72 hours prior to your service date. Written additions and/or alterations by the customer, without the written agreement of the company, are invalid and unenforceable
DELAY POLICY:
The client understands and accepts that Acts of God, unforeseen traffic, road conditions and/or severe weather conditions delay travel. Every effort will be made to dispatch the contracted limousine(s) during these conditions and all attempts will be made to arrive at the designated pick up locations on time. In the event that there is a delay caused by an Act of God, unforeseen traffic, road conditions and/or severe weather conditions resulting in any of the contracted limousine(s) arriving late at any of the pickup addresses, we will modify the drop off time to reflect the amount of time caused by the delay. You agree that this action will compensate you for the delay and there will be no further liability to us. Should we deem at any time up until the day of the service that said conditions are too dangerous for our chauffeurs and/or vehicle(s) then we will inform you of such and terminate the service. You will receive a full refund of any payments made to us by you (i.e. deposits, prepaid overtime, balance) within (2) weeks by company check.
INSURANCE:
Every vehicle in our fleet is insured to the maximum liability amount mandated by Federal and State law. Current limits are set at $5,000.000.00.
DAMAGE POLICY AND FEES:
The chauffeur inspects each vehicle before, during and after each rental. In the event of damage suffered, customer shall be responsible for any and all harm and damages suffered by the company, its agents, employees, or third parties, including but not limited to the vehicle, in regard to cleaning, breakage, burns, or other interior or exterior damage to extent of the actual cost to repair or replace, with a minimum charge of $200.00. If any such damage to the limousine(s) is of a nature that is necessary for us to take the limousine out of normal service, you will pay us for the revenue reasonably lost at 80% of our normal hourly rate. There will be NO SMOKING or EATING in any of the limousines contracted. NARCOTICS OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ARE PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF THE SERVICE.
The client hereby agrees to hold company, its agents and employees harmless from any consequences of such wrongful use by customer or client’s guests, including the cost to defend against the same. You agree to pay a fee of $10.00 per glass that is cracked, broken or missing. As well as a clean-up surcharge of $300.00 if there are excessively spilled fluids or excessive trash left in the limousine and a clean-up fee of no less than $300.00 if anyone in the group regurgitates in and/or on the limousine. These fees are necessary due to the costly cleaning, and the downtime for the limousine(s). The chauffeur(s) will be more than happy to pull over should someone get sick. Also, the fee still has to be paid even if you decide to try to clean it yourself. No exceptions.
Chauffeur has the right to terminate the trip, without refund, if he/she feels that the party is not abiding by the above rules or is putting the vehicle or the chauffeur at risk.
GENERAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
The company, or its designated representative, is hereby appointed customer’s attorney-in-fact to sign customer’s signature for additional charges to customer’s credit card for damages, overtime, &/or any changes due & not immediately paid by the customer & is expressly empowered & authorized to charge all costs resulting from damages to said credit card.
Except in the case of willful misconduct or gross negligence of the company, its agents or employees, customer hereby waives any and all claims against the company, its agents or employees for injury, loss, or damage, including consequential damages, to customer’s person or property from whatever cause. In addition, the customer waives any right of subrogation with regard to the same.
Neither the company, its agents or employees shall not be liable for any personal property of the customer or customer’s guests, which are misplaced, damaged or left in the vehicle. Company reserves the right to institute and establish rules and regulations of guest conduct, which may be amended from time to time, including termination of rental, without refund, due to noncompliant guest conduct.
In the event of a vehicle breakdown, all efforts will be made to supply a replacement vehicle. If a replacement vehicle is sent &/or customer refuses a replacement vehicle, no refund is due. If no replacement vehicle is available, the refund shall be limited to a pro-rated amount paid by the client for that particular vehicle with no further liability to us. In case of an emergency, the company may subcontract his rental to another limousine service.
The company is not responsible to fulfill itineraries developed by the customer, which indicates a time that the customer expects to arrive at certain locations after the initial pick up time. You agree to compensate SALON SALON LIMOUSINE as outlined in this contract. You also agree to pay all charges, fees, surcharges, overtime fees, and damages.
In the event that you refuse to pay your obligations resulting in SALON SALON LIMOUSINE needing to employ a collection company or an attorney, you agree to fully reimburse SALON SALON LIMOUSINE all attorney fees, court costs, collection fees and any out of pocket expenses that we may incur. A 2% monthly charge will be added to all unpaid balances.
